Motherhood hasn't changed my life. I still do the things I used to do—but mindfully now, with purpose, clarity, and a greater sense of responsibility. When I was pregnant, I was doubtful about my parenting skills, and prayed that God would fill up the spaces. Where there was emptiness, where there was darkness, where I was just not enough, please God, give me the love. With Tica firmly in my life, I realize that I do have everything I need, and that I also have everything I need to give. Tica teaches me that.

I haven't changed, I just know now who I am.

It was love at first sight, an encompassing love where the only manner in which my being could express itself was by bursting into laughter and tears at once. It was the moment my child was born that I became a mother, instantly filled with a love so pure and a love so selfless - the kind that defines you. I know nothing about motherhood with any certainty but my son is love, and it is because of that love that I am the mother I was meant to be. 

I always wanted to be a mother, and Rock is my dream come true.
